Parent and anyone age 18 and over volunteers must complete the following training programs:

If you were previously Virtus certified but did not volunteer last school year, your account is more than likely deactivated. Please contact Naomii Hodorowich nhodorowich@pjpiischool.org.

If you have never been Virtus certified, please follow the below steps. 

1. SET UP A VIRTUS ACCOUNT. Accounts can be set up in english or spanish but you must choose the correct link.

• To set up an ENGLISH account visit: www.virtusonline.org/virtus/reg_2.cfm?theme=0

• Choose the Chicago Archdiocese from the drop down

• For position, you are a Volunteer

• Indicate that you will be working with young children

• You will receive a few forms that need to be signed and returned to the  main office. If you are not able to print it, the school can provide copies. 

• You will start the steps to complete the background check, an email will be sent with steps on how to continue the background check. 

• In your Virtus account, you will need to complete online video trainings for which you will receive a certificate. Please provide the certificate to the main office.

 2.   MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING​

• A separate account must be created with DCFS to complete the Mandated Reporter Training: mr.dcfstraining.org/Registration/Registration.action

• You will receive more forms to sign and another video training needs to be complete.

Please ensure you provide the following forms and certification to the main office. 

• Protecting Gods Children certificate (within Virtus account)

• CANTS 689 (within Virtus account)

• ABS Standards of Behavior (within Virtus account)

• CANTS 22 (within Mandated Reporter Training)

• Mandated Reporter Training certificate

Los padres y cualquier persona voluntaria mayor de 18 años deben completar los siguientes programas de capacitación:

Si anteriormente estuvo certificado por Virtus pero no fue voluntario el año escolar pasado, es muy probable que su cuenta esté desactivada. Por favor comuníquese con Ms. Yamili Cano ycano@pjpiischool.org.

Si nunca ha obtenido la certificación Virtus, siga los pasos a continuación.

1. CONFIGURAR UNA CUENTA VIRTUS. Las cuentas se pueden configurar en inglés o español pero debes elegir el enlace correcto.

• Para Español aquí: www.virtusonline.org/virtus/espaniol.cfm?theme=0

• Elija la Arquidiócesis de Chicago en el menú desplegable

• Para el puesto, es Voluntario

• Indique que trabajará con niños pequeños.

• Recibirá algunos formularios que deberá firmar y devolver a la oficina principal. Si no puede imprimirlo, la escuela puede proporcionarle copias.

• Comenzará los pasos para completar la verificación de antecedentes, se enviará un correo electrónico con los pasos sobre cómo continuar con la verificación de antecedentes.

• En su cuenta Virtus, deberá completar capacitaciones en video en línea por las cuales recibirá un certificado. Por favor proporcione el certificado a la oficina principal.

   2.CAPACITACIÓN OBLIGATORIA PARA INFORMANTES​

• Se debe crear una cuenta separada con DCFS para completar la capacitación de reportero obligatorio: https://mr.dcfstraining.org/UserAuth/Login!loginPage.action?request_locale=es

• Recibirá más formularios para firmar y deberá completar otra capacitación en video.

Asegúrese de proporcionar los siguientes formularios y certificaciones a la oficina principal.

• Certificado de Protección de los Hijos de Dios (dentro de la cuenta Virtus)

• CANTS 689 (dentro de la cuenta Virtus)

• Estándares de comportamiento de ABS (dentro de la cuenta Virtus)

• CANTS 22 (dentro de la capacitación de reportero obligatorio)

• Certificado de capacitación de reportero obligatorio
